Traffic camera slayer David Betras, an admitted junkie of "Stirfry" could it be because he has been one of the main topics of discussion on this blog? is in need of a fix. Betras wants someone, anyone, to go toe-to-toe with him on the issue of the traffic camera in the city of Girard.
He thought he was going to have his chance Christmas Eve at Jillians in the Southern Park Mall. Several posters on this blog had challenged him to show up and defend his position. Betras did with his young son and was unable to attract anyone's attention. It seems that no one wanted to confront him when he had his kid with him.
Deprived of that confrontation, Betras, whose visions of grandeur would make for an interesting psychological case study, has taken another tact: He's accusing his critics of being chicken-hearted for not taking him on.
Given the intensity of the debate in print (see previous postings), a live wordfest would certainly draw a crowd.
Thus the question: Would Atty. Betras be willing to participate in a formal debate with one or more (if more, he could bring "Bull Moose" Hanni, who has carried him for so many years, to prop him up) of his critics?
Would any of his detractors want to participate in such an event?
Let's hear from you.
