A great night of wine and food will take place on Friday February 10th at Leo's Ristorante and Banquet Center. I'm honored that Leo's has asked me to serve as their Master of Ceremonies for the event, which begins with a sparkling reception at 6:30PM. Seating for the five course wine dinner is promptly at 7PM.
Leo's has long been one of our Valley's best restaurants and they have an excellent history of great wine and food events. This one is shaping up to exceed their own high standards, with a wine lineup focused mainly on Italian and California wines.
The highlight of the wine lineup is that all guests will have a chance to do a comparative tasting of two different vintages of Castello Banfi's legendary Brunello Di Montalcino. Castello Banfi has long been considered on of Tuscany's finest wineries with an impressive history dating back centuries.
The 1995 and 2009 vintages will be poured simultaneously so that guests can decide for themselves if they prefer the wine with 20+ years of age or in a more youthful state. Guests will be given the rare chance to purchase some older vintages of the famed wine if they are so inclined after the tasting.
The full wine lineup with dinner pairings is detailed below. Anyone wishing to make a reservation can do so by emailing events@myvalleyvino.com.
