The Lake County, CA winery has produced some outstanding recent vintages and has a legacy of producing quality wines that exceed their price point.

YCC GM Anthony Palumbo provided some samples of the club's new summer menu which we enjoyed. They are featuring several new summer pastas including Sundried Tomato Ravioli with Yellow Tomato Sauce and Duck Egg Pappardelle with Lamb Ragu and Wild Mushrooms.

2013 Shooting Star Sauvignon Blanc

Grass and white flowers on the nose with fresh citrus frutis. lemon peel and grapefruit.

2014 Steele California Cuvee Chardonnay - Blend of seven vineyards

Well integrated with layered orchard fruit flavors and a hint of cream balanced by nice adcidity.

2014 Carneros Chardonnay Durell Vineyard

Rich and full with flavors of creme brullee, caramel with green apple. Incredibly well crafted.

2013 Writers Block Lake County Rousanne

Lively and vivacious with citrus and mineral elements integrated with ripe pear.

2011 Out Kaste Lake County Red Wine

Blend of Zinfandel Syrah and a touch Petite Syrah. All varietals well inegrated and balanced.

2013 Steele Cabrnet France Lake County

Medium bodied and delightful with dried black cheerry, baker's chocolate and leather.

2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Hills, Lake County

Elegant and sublime with ciurrant and red fruits. Bright and fresh with great length.
