Its a great time of year to try some new white wines. If you are sitting poolside, sipping on the patio or enjoying some of summer's lighter cuisine at a local restaurant, these white wines are sure to please.

The wines hail from two regions. Trentino is in the very northern part of the country tiucked right underneath the Austrian Alps. Terre Siciliane is the region designated for the island of Sicily.

Stemmari Pinot Grigio ($9.99) - Terre Siciliane

You will be captivated by the slightly ripened fruity notes of white peach and pear blended together with dry yellow flowery notes. At first taste, it’s immediately tart and then it entices you with unmatched minerality and freshness that will leave you uplifted. This refined wine is best consumed with raw fish, shell-fish dishes, and mixed fried food dishes.

Cliffhanger Vineyard Pinot Grigio ($12.99) - Trentino

The blend of the chamomile and dry flowers complements the ripe pear, fresh melon and white peach, giving this wine a rich, intense flavor. This quintessential wine can be consumed as an aperitif or paired with succulent appetizers, pasta, and both fried and grilled fish.

Stemmari’s Dalila ($13.99) - Terre Siciliane

The combination of Grillo (80%) and Viognier (20%) give notes of tropical fruit and jasmine blending with stone fruit and citrus with of wildflowers and vanilla.  It’s best paired with seafood appetizers, pasta dishes with fish or white meat, grilled fish and medium aged cheese.

These wines will go great with a variety of salads, seafood and chicken as well as lighter pasta preparations. They are also excellent stand alone or with lgihter cheeses and fresh fruit.
