I started enjoying Thirsty Dog beers in 2002 when I hosted an event featuring their beers at a downtown bar where I worked for several years. Back then, they had four beers in their lineup and were distributing on only three states.

Since then, Thirsty Dog has grown their lineup and the number of states where their beer is available. The brewery also offers some clever names of their beers along with some interesting labels.

Here's a look at six beers in the current Thirsty Dog Brewing Company portfolio:

Citra Dog IPA

An Amrican IPA that burts onto the palate with flavors of grapefruit, tangerine and orange.

Labrador Lager

Lighter in color and body with pale straw color and exceptionally balanced flavors.

Old Leg Humper Robust Porter

A bolder porter with chocolate present on the nose and palate. Incredibly smooth on the finish.

Raspberry Ale

A fruit beer that tastes like beer! A solid ale with fresh raspberries infused at fermentation.

Siberian Night Imperial Stout

Very dark and rich with roasted malts and complex flavors that are intense on the palate

Whippet Wheat

An unfiltered, yeasty German style beer with aromas of cloves and vanilla with banana flavors.

All of these beers are distributed throughout Ohio by Heidelberg Distributing. They are widely available at grocery stores, independent retailers and Valley bars.
