Valley Vino Wine Club members are celebrating this month as the club begins its new partnership with Avalon Golf and Country Club. The club will hold regular events at Avalon's two locations: Buhl Park in Sharon and Squaw Creek in Vienna.

The first event is this Saturday's "Cellar Sampling" tasting. Attendees have the opportunity to taste up to five wines from Buhl Park's expansive wine list. All of the wines will be paired with appetizers and entrees for those who want to enjoy dinner service during the tasting. Once the tasters have found their favorites, they can purchase any of the five wines at a 25% discount.

Valley Vino is based in Youngstown, but has almost 200 members who reside in Western, PA. The Ohio-based members seem interested and willing to cross the border for the short drive to Sharon. Reservations from both states are coming in well ahead of the event.

This tasting format offers wine lovers a chance to explore Buhl's wine list without having to spend $25-$50 for a bottle of wine they have never tried and don't know anything about. The "Cellar Sampling" tastes are intended to be casual, low key, and fun events without the usual pomp and circumstance of a country club wine event.

Valley Vino members are welcome to attend any Avalon event. They will also be given the opportunity to tour the clubs and purchase memberships at a 10% discount off of their first year's dues. The Valley Vino Wine Club is 100% free to join and has grown steadily over the last three years. You can sign up for the free membership at the club's web site:

The "Cellar Sampling" event starts at 6PM this Saturday and runs until 9PM. People can come at any point during the event and they will be greeted with a wine taste as they enter the club's Borgart's or Havana Room dining areas. If you'd like to make a reservation for the event you can do so via email at contact@myvalleyvino.com.
