The beer world has seen a massive increase in the ammount of breweries ofeering freshness ratings for their beers. Some give us "born on" dates saying the beer is best 120 from that date, others identify a month that the beer should be consumed by, and a few even offer a soecific "expiration date". The appearance of these dubious calendars does express one great truth about most beer: The fresher the better! Stone Brewing Company has the answer: Enjoy By 11.09.12 IPA.
The beer is all about freshness. It is a double loaded IPA featuring 11 hop varieties and it is brewed NOT to last. in fact, the shelf life of this amazing IPA is exactly 35 days. Why 35 days? Stone wants to fully maximize the beer's massive hop profile and balanced palate of bitterness and dryness. It must be consumed by or preferably before the end of the 35 day cycle (11.09.12). Stone is making sure it will be; on November 10th, if any beer is left on the shelf or on draft it will be immediately removed from stores and bars.
Stone Enjoy By 11.09.12 IPA is being released in only two states including Ohio. There were numerous events to launch the release of the beer around the buckeye state. You can find additional information specific to Ohio on Facebook and Twitter where there is an interactive map featuring retailers and restaurants offering this great IPA.
