Barrel Run Crossing Winery and Vineyard Marks 1st Anniversary

The Ohio wine industry has experienced a tremendous boom in the last half decade. New wineries are cropping up all over the state on a regular basis. Barrel Run Crossing Winery and vineyard is celebrating its first anniversary on June 9th, and many valley residents will make the short road trip to check out the big party. Here's a look at some of what the have to offer:
The Wines
All Aboard - A sweet white Vidal Blanc
Down Home - A sweet white blend of Niagara and Frontenac Gris
Locomotion - An off-dry white blend with Seyval as the primary grape.
Tipsy Conductor - A sweet white made from Frontenac Gris which won a Silver Medal at the Ohio Wine Competition.
Engine Number 5 - A five grape blend. Dry red with great fruit flavor.
Mahoning River Red - Sweet, easy drinking red with surprising complexity.
Roundhouse - A dry belnd of Frontenac and Cabernet Franc.
They also offer a variety of fruit wines and ciders to complement the wines.

Honey tastings from Kline Honey Bee Farm.
Candy Sampling and Sales from Sugar Luv Homemade Candies
