                                                                          By Jim "J. Knuckles" Murphy

For those not aware of Burgers 2 Beer, they are a gourmet burger joint with 2 locations (Highland Heights & Downtown Cleveland, who pride themselves on using only locally procured, 100% grass fed beef and combining "all of your favorites into one delectable handheld morsel."

The staff at B2B reached out to the BurgerGuyz and invited us to do a follow up from our March 2013 (http://burgerguyz.com/2013/03/24/burgerguyz-burgers-2-beer-highland-hts-oh/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://burgerguyz.com/2013/03/24/burgerguyz-burgers-2-beer-highland-hts-oh/) review. Since their claim is "...making your wildest burger dreams come true," we again jumped at the chance!

Upon being greeted by Melissa, our waitress, we noticed the burgers being brought out tohttp://burgerguyz.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/b2b-drink-beer_live-longer2.jpg" alt="" width="247" height="330"> many of the patrons and were happy to get seated & started.

B2B's Highland Heights location is nicely lit and has that "this is going to be something special" feeling. Upon taking our seats, we immediately noticed their Beer chalkboard which lists many of their over 100 Craft & Draft Brews!

We all ordered a Great Lakes Oktoberfest and began going over their impressive menu (available http://www.burgers2beer.com/burgers/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">here) which is sectioned off as:

 Before You Eat a Burger

 Should be a Burger… But it’s a Salad

 Burgers

 Not Burgers

We ordered a few sides ("Me So Corny" which are sweet and cripy Corn Fritters with Mexi-Mayo and "Mac N Cheese Bites" a crispy, yet gooey/cheesy delight with a side of Ranch) but let's be honest, we're here for the Burgers!

The menu still features a diverse and interesting combination of flavors ranging from the SIMPLE SUSAN:(A Plain Burger topped with Lettuce & Tomato), the LUTHER: (A Burger served on a Glazed Donut. Topped with Honey-Peppered Bacon and American Cheese) and the OH CHEESUS: (A Burger between two Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Topped with both American & Swiss Cheese. B2B also have a Bison Burger (IN THE BUFF) as well as Veggie-Black Been Burger (FRIJOLES NEGRO). All B2B Burgers come with a pile of crispy fries and you can also get a side of Cole Slaw upon request!

After going back and forth we all settled in and placed our order.

JT went with the BREAKFAST Burger (A Burger topped with Corned-Beef Hash, a Fried Egg, & drizzled with Hollandaise Sauce.) He ordered his burger Medium Well and upon completing his burger JT said " I thought the breakfast burger was delicious! I love the taste of a fried egg on my burger. Most places I've been serve bacon on their breakfast burger, but B2B went with corned beef hash. The flavors of the egg yolk mixed with the corned beef atop the well seasoned burger was amazing... didn't miss the bacon at all! I would recommend this burger to everyone."

Due to previous commitments of others on the board, our fill-in, Tyler (aka "TJ") ordered a medium rare NUT BUTTER: (A Burger with Peanut Butter, Red Onion, Cheddar & Provolone Cheese, Honey-Peppered Bacon, Lettuce, & Tomato). His decision to choose this burger was not without internal turmoil. He fought himself on why anyone would put peanut butter on a burger but he knew there had to be a reason and he commanded himself to find out why! When his burger was delivered, TJ said: "I was instantaneously surprised by the sheer size of this burger. Despite my previous doubts of peanut butter on a burger, the Nut Butter wiped away those thoughts for good. The delightful creaminess of the peanut butter combined with the flavorful juices of the burger merged in such a way to create a harmonious, tantalizing, melt-in-your-mouth experience. This burger was above any thoughts of what I had expected."

I decided on the medium rare VAMPIRE HUNTER: (A Burger with Creamy Garlic Sauce, Pepperoni, Caramelized Onions, & Tomato. Topped with both Smoked Gouda & Cheddar Cheese). I also decided that one fresh burger may not be enough so I went with a Double Vampire Hunter!

Upon receiving my burger, I also was shocked by the sheer size of it (which had to be over 1lb of fresh, local 100% beef!). As soon as I began slicing up this behemoth, I immediately saw just how fresh and juicy B2B Burgers were. Undeterred, I knuckled up like Van Helsing and, using a combination of slaying tools (Fork & Knife), began to bury this beast! The creamy garlic sauce, paired with the caramelized onions & pepperoni made for a great combination of flavors! Halfway through the battle, I felt I may have overestimated just how juicy this burger would be as the bottom bun was not able to hold up under the massive size of the double burgers but I persevered to completely devour this beast!

And don't forget to grab a Growler of their house Blonde Mullet brew to enjoy at home and remember the great Burger you just had @ Burgers 2 Beer!
