Yes , of course I, as many, am outraged at the murder of Cecil the Lion.

So many, around the world, are outraged, signing petitions, carrying signs, etc.
Hundreds of thousands of signatures, possibly millions, eventually, demanding justice for Cecil the Lion...and yes, I signed.

Most of those folks will sit down  to a meal that begins with horrific cruelty - to a meal of sentient beings , raised to be mercilessly  slaughtered. Animals who feel fright, terror and pain, awful pain. Some whom are scalded alive, some who's throats are sliced open and they're gutted while still alive.

Every summer day, so many post on FaceBook and Twitter about dogs in hot cars - - - - all winter, folks are outraged that some chain their dogs outside in bitter cold - thinking nothing of the millions of animals being transported in trailers that are unbearable hot in summer and frightfully cold in the winter.

Rabbit people protesting at Whole Foods for slaughtering and selling rabbits for food. When fall approaches, fur protests begin. When the circus comes to town,in towns where people still patronise animal circuses,  wonderful, sign-holding protesters convene demanding that the cruelty end.

People demand the end to cruel animal experimentation.

I draw this conclusion: It's not unlike nazi Germany, where sentient beings were packed into rail cars where many suffocated, froze or succumbed to the heat - and, maybe as those murdered to provide your food....maybe they're the most fortunate.

When studying for my Bar-Mitzvah, I recall Cantor Karl Klein telling me how, after exiting the boxcar,  the nazis took his shoes then marched him through the snow.
His frostbitten toes where cut off with tin snips. I can still see him taking off his shoes and socks and showing me.

The internet has made protest easy. You can have petitions signed without having them printed and going door to door. Organizing protests are easy. Posting to FaceBook,Twitter and, I suppose, Instagram and the Pin thing with the push of a button.
Not torturing and eating animals is easy these days too. Countless recipes on line, more kind cookbooks to mention. Organizations such as PETA, Mercy for Animals and Compassion Over Killing are just 3 who will help you. Grocery stores stock  vegan milks, cheeses, butters. Their have Tofurky, Amy's, Gardein products, just to name a few. Inexpensive and  healthy home cooking is  easy, just ask me or any of  we, your vegan customer service representatives !

I remember over 45 years ago when I chose to stop eating animals, I met a woman in Akron who ran an organization. I proudly wore the T-shirt she gave me : Love Animals - Don't Eat Them. If you're outraged by the merciless killing of Cecil the Lion, start your protest with your fork.
