Trouble Oh trouble set me free I have seen your face And its too much too much for me
Trouble Oh trouble cant you see You’re eating my heart away And there’s nothing much left of me
“PROBABLY EVERYONE CONTEMPLATES SUICIDE AT LEAST ONCE IN THEIR LIFE…”
WOW, was I wrong(again) !!!
Everyone–obviously– has NOT/does NOT contemplate suicide.
Now, I didn’t mean PLAN or ATTEMPT suicide, but just think about it–you know, REALLY THINK about it ! –and, hey, for whatever reason or combination of reasons : health, loss of love - emotionally and/or physically, addiction, don’t like what you see in the mirror-and I DON’T mean physical… etc., etc, etc .
I was promoting an interview w/ Joan Wickersham-author of The Suicide Index: Putting My Father’s Death in Order — when I made the statement: “PROBABLY EVERYONE CONTEMPLATES SUICIDE AT LEAST ONCE IN THEIR LIFE…” I -incorrectly- assumed that everyone had a moment (or more )when they thought that elsewhere would be better than here.
I quickly found out from a number of emailers that I was wrong-WAY WRONG.
I do think that the wonder of tomorrow along w/ the vision of pained, teared faces of those victimized by the action of suicide(permanently and forever) was sufficient for most of ‘us’(who’ve pondered suicide) to pass on the action part.
I also began to think of “the note”- the suicide note-the attempt to explain.
What would the perpetrator write—for the (suicide)note and then, what if the suicider wrote their own obituary?
So those that have never contemplated suicide….are you pain-free ?
And those that have contemplated and not acted…what do you do w/ the pain ??
Im beat, Im torn Shattered and tossed and worn Too shocking to see Too shocking to see
Trouble Oh trouble please be kind I dont want no fight And I havent got a lot of time
