*Time has come today-
Young hearts can go their way-
Can't put it off another day-
I don't care what others say-
They say we don't listen anyway-
Time has come today*

Before the first weekend in November, the Congress of these United States,AGAIN, shows the ugly truth to Americans that pay attention : the Democrats and Republican parties are *in it* for party power, not for us, U.S.

I offer you just two examples:

One, is the failure of the US Senate to take, excuse me, MAKE time to deal with the failed No Child Left Behind (sic).

*Sens. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., and Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., have decided that there's not enough time this year to complete work on the legislation, which has not yet been formally introduced.*

According to the Associated Press : *However, it may be even more difficult to pass a rewritten No Child bill next year because it is a presidential election year. It is harder to get the bipartisan consensus needed to pass major legislation against the backdrop of an intense presidential campaign.*

So, is it TIME or *POWERTICS* (politics 4 power, personal and party)

And

More *POWERTICS* proof:

*NYTIMES: WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x80x9d Even though members of Congress cut back their pork barrel spending this year, House lawmakers still tacked on to the military appropriations bill $1.8 billion to pay 580 private companies for projects the Pentagon did not request... The list is topped by the veteran earmark champions Representative John P. Murtha, a Pennsylvania Democrat who is the chairman of the powerful defense appropriations subcommittee, and Representative C. W. Bill Young of Florida, the top Republican on the panel, who asked for $166 million and $117 million respectively. It also includes $92 million in requests from Representative Jerry Lewis, Republican of California, a committee member who is under federal investigation for his ties to a lobbying firm whose clients often benefited from his earmarks.*

*The House speaker, Nancy Pelosi, requested $32 million in earmarks, while Steny H. Hoyer, the majority leader, asked for $26 million for projects in the $459.6 billion defense bill, the largest of the appropriations bills that go through Congress...*

[btw- IS THIS ANYWAY TO STOP THE WAR (or,*advance* America)???? note: 19 yr old Cody Carver,36 yr old Thomas Crowell,30 yr old Louis Griese, 22 yr old Rush Jenkins, 39 yr old David Lambert, 24 yr old Daniel McCall, 28 yr old Timothy McGovern, 27 yr old Nathan Schuldheiss,Brandon Smitherman-21 and 28 yr old David Weiger and 30 yr old Tracy Alger, were killed over this week past. Tracy Alger was the 90th servicewoman killed in this war.(LA Times)]

According to a recent poll, 72% of Republicans and 64 % of Democrats DISAPPROVE of the way Congress is "handling it's job".

Well, again : WAKE UP AMERICA and realize that these two parties are the problem, NOT the solution !!!

Oh, and lest we forget: (from the Oct 27th New York Times)

Democrats Plan a Shorter Workweek

*...But 10 months into the session, with their legislative agenda often in gridlock with the Bush administration and a big election year looming, the Democrats are now planning a lighter schedule when the 110th Congress begins its second year in mid-January...*

*Don't you know you're talking about a revolution---
It sounds like a whisper*
