PAIN(emotional) AS A COMFORT FOOD FOR THE HEART(?)
a.k.a. : Pain as a heart-stimulator
a.k.a. : Pain as a heart-barometer
ah HA ! : Pain as a depth gauge
How does pain help? Didnxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2t we previously discuss the relationship between our depth of pain and our ability to love? So what xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s the benefit of hurting-just to show how deep we can love by how deep we feel? -Ow, quite a price to payxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x80x9deh?
When wexc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2re hurt we feel that pain. Ok, so our ability to feel pain(perceived downside) indicates our ability to feel: good and/or bad!-Hopefully resulting in an inner and outer search for (here it comes again:) LOVE ! But oh,oh,oh, do we really search for love ? Do we really LOOK for love ? Well, yeah, the lucky ones find love, but ask those in love how they found love. Most lovers that I know, werenxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2t looking when love came running to them xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x80x9csmacking them in their faces, or more accurately: smacking them in their hearts.
Therexc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s good news here somewhere-eh, Louie?
Well certainly! Most of us, well again the lucky ones, feel some pain. Who wantxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s to know someone who doesnxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2t feel pain ? Where are those folks when you need a friend or lose a loved one? Yeah, sure, they come through our bizarre ritual-the calling hours. Yeah, theyxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2ll come and kneel by the coffin, cross themselves, give us a hug(probably the back-slap variety) and cheek-kiss the ladiesxc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa6. Yeah, they go through the motions-you know the type,-the tear-less criers.
Q: where are they when you experience pain?
A: emotionally absent
So the premise: if you canxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2t feel pain-you canxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2t feel Love
And: you can feel Love to the depth that you feel pain-but whatxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s the exchange rate ??????
hmmmmmmmm
