Commissioner Questions:

1) Wouldnxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2t it be prudent to know the outcome of the lawsuit before you invest any more of the taxpayerxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s $$$ in the former South Side Hospital?-if the commissioners loose,they/we the people, have invested 5.3 million dollars in someone elsexc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s building without any hopes of recovery.

2) Should not the county know the outcome of the real estate tax appeal before they invest-as they may or may not need an additional $450,000.00?

3) Shouldnxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2t the county commissioners know the outcome of the state loan(approx $450,000) before investing any taxpayerxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s dollars?

4)County officials have said that theyxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2ll get grants for the relocation of Jobs and Family Services. Shouldnxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2t they have that in place before investing in the former South Side Hospital ?

5) My reading of the document regarding the $5,300,000 shows no $$$ for phone systems,computer system relocation, wiring ,no dollars for furniture , etc which will cost(my guess) hundreds of thousands of dollars-taxpayerxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s dollars !

It is my belief that the Mahoning county commissioners have an obligation to explore all of the costs involved with the purchase of the building and the relocation costs of JFS and identify to we the people, the taxpayers of Mahoning county where every dollar is coming from. Saying that the building cost is$75,000 and that $5,300,000 will cover construction costs is only part of the story. Whatxc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x84xa2s the rest of the story? If in fact,they, excuse me, WE have to pay off the state loan, the real estate taxes,the cost of the move ,the cost of new furniture,the cost of insurance,the cost of security,etc, where will all of those dollars come from? The county commissioners + George Tablack may have good intentions-but the taxpayers deserve more that good intentions- this timexc3xa2xe2x82xacxc2xa6.
