Warren Water Test Results

Warren Water Test Results

As a follow-up to a recent series of articles about elevated levels of lead in test results of the drinking water on Warren’s East Side, The Vindicator and its partners at 21 WFMJ-TV and Youngstown State University’s The Jambar went door-to-door Feb. 9-11 to select participants to have their drinking water analyzed. That work was conducted by Cardinal Environmental Laboratories of Youngstown. Today, after first sharing those results with the families who volunteered to take part, we share those results with you. The vast majority of homes – 25 of 36 – tested below the detectable level of 5 parts per billion. One home tested at 20.1, exceeding the federal maximum threshold of 15 parts per billion. It is our hope this project and future studies of drinking water in other Mahoning Valley communities can bring clarity about the quality of the water in your home.
