Williamsons Gentlemans Group

Williamsons Gentlemans Group

To second-grader Damien Rodriguez, being a gentleman means “to be nice to ladies and help others.” “Being a gentleman means helping my mom with groceries, chores, opening the door for her and just being nice instead of being rude,” said third-grader Nicholas Blalock. And it’s not just during the group’s meetings that young men put their best feet forward. “When staff sees students doing something and acting like gentleman, [students] can receive Gentleman Gestures,” said Michelle Payich, Williamson Elementary principal. Gentleman Gestures are slips of paper staff can fill out giving kudos to their gentleman students. “The last time we had indoor recess we asked the kids, ‘What do you guys want to do?’ and I can’t forget our young gentlemen said, ‘Let the girls decide,’” Payich said. “They remember outside of just this luncheon to be a gentleman all the time.”

Body Identified Bazetta Township

Body Identified Bazetta Township

BAZETTA TOWNSHIP — The skeletal remains found along the south end of Mosquito Lake 11 1/2 years ago are those of Gregory L. Griffin, whose last known address was on Willis Avenue in Youngstown. Identity Mystery inline tease photo Video In a cold-case investigation worthy of television, Trumbull officials unveiled an FBI reconstruction of the head of the man whose skeleton was found along the southern edge of Mosquito Lake July 23, 2006. The bones of the black male, thought to be about 50 years old and roughly 5-feet-8-inches (plus or minus 3 inches), were found mostly intact in a marshy, grassy area on the north side of the Mosquito Lake dam along state Route 305. Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk, Trumbull County coroner, says he does not know what caused his death but he has ruled it a homicide. Griffin was 47 at the time his body was found. Police were able to submit DNA to a Texas laboratory in February 2017 that came back as a positive match for Griffin about two weeks ago.
