I am waiting for the question.. What political party is to blame for all the Valley's problems? a) The Local Democrats b) The Local Democrats c) The Local Democrats
Local Democrats: WHAT Have the Local Democrats done so well that they deserve re-election every few years?!
I was a major supporter of JAY back in 2005 when he took down Hagan. For the most part I give him credit for doing a pretty good job, but there are two things that have angered me with JAY:
1) Failure of the JEDDs. The townships hate the city now, as do many living in the townships. The idea of taxing those living in the townships was a major mistake for JAY.
2) Unfairly attacking Sarah Palin for her job as mayor of Wasilla, where she cut taxes, spending, and had a lower crime rate than Youngstown. JAY oughta call her up and maybe she can help him out with running our own city. The last time I checked we have higher taxes, increased spending, and a terrible crime rate JAY. You shouldn't be making fun of her.
He deserves a 2nd term, but I have lost much of my support of JAY.
I just do not want to see kids I went to high school with playing in a $40+ million arena downtown! I graduated with 4 or 5 Phantoms a year ago at a local high school, which I will not mention.
I am a huge supporter of the Chevy Centre and want to see it succeed, but let's get real here folks, this will not work. Simple economics states businesses should only stay open in the short run if their marginal costs are greater than the average variable costs. If the marginal costs does not become greater than the average total cost in a few months, then shut it down.
Midway through this endeavor, Zoldan got to think long and hard about having a junior-level team at the Chevy Centre.
Should the U.S. re-establish full relations with Cuba?
No way..

Will Judge Scott Krichbaum switch parties?
Specter left the GOP because he was going to lose in the 2010 Primary to Pat Toomey.
Krichbaum, one of the toughest judges in our area, should just stay a Republican.

Mayor Williams has earned re-election; work to be done
I'll give him a C+. I was a major supporter of him over Hagan, but he disappointed me with the JEDD mess and by bashing Sarah Palin.

How do you rate President Obama’s first 100 days in office?
Good that closet Democrat can officially be called a Democrat now. He was going to get destroyed in the PA GOP Primary by Toomey next spring anyways.
This was all politics. Now we can see how bad a filibuster proof, far-left Government can destroy this great nation...
