BICENTENNIAL FLAG - Robert Yeaton, 13, (left), and Kenneth Yeaton, 11, of Boy Scout Troop 25 of Canfield, Ohio, raise a Bennington Bicentennial flag in front of Packard Electric Division's Plant 10 in Warren. The flags will be flown through 1976, in celebration of our nation's birth 200 years ago. Robert and Kenneth are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Yeaton of Canfield. The Bennington flag with its unusual arrangement of stars and stripes flew over the military stores in Bennington, Vt., Aug. 16, 1777. Gen. John Stark's militia led the Americans in decidedly defeating a larger British raiding force and thus protecting the precious military supplies at Bennington. Photo published June 20, 1975.
