EASTER BUNNY, GOODIES HIGHLIGHT FESTIVITIES - JACYEES HOST ANNUAL EGG HUNT - The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the traditional focus of Easter, but, after that, the most prominent features of the holiday are the Easter bunny and the eggs and candy that he brings. In keeping with the second half of Easter's significance, the Jaycees on Saturday held their annual Easter egg hunt in the Wick Recreation Area of Mill Creek Park. Bright, sunny and blue skies accommodated the event although there was a chill in the air and winter clothes were stylish. About 300 youngsters participated, some of whom dash off (top) in pursuit of the holiday treasures. Christopher Sopkovich, 3, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sopkovich of Girard, displays his price (lower left) and his hunting technique (center). Because he won a coupon, the toddler won the giant Easter basket, containing multiple goodies. Prior to the hunt, Cory Untch, also 3, sidled up to the Easter bunny in hopes that his technique might produce desirable and happy results. Photos taken March 22, 1986. Photos by William D.
