Carl Vadjunec is the father of Michael Vadjunec, who was born with cerebral palsy. Michael says his dad has taken care of him for 40 years. He always puts Michael first and Michael appreciates and loves him for that. This photo was taken on a Carribean Cruise-what a fun time!

Michael Riley and his son, Liam, both of New Middletown, are dressed like twins. Liam is so glad that his dad has raised him to be just like him when he grows up. His dad is a firefighter who saves lives and helps in any way he can. Liam is fascinated with firefighters, fire trucks, and everything they do. His dad is his true hero.

Here is my dad Alex Dankovich and myself, John Dankovich of Sunbury, Ohio, 30 years or so ago. He has guided me through a lot and been there for me whenever I needed it, no matter what, regardless of his other obligations. I would not be successful today had I not had his guidance and support.

His daughters are Barbara Cardarelli of Struthers, Linda Hulewat of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Phyllis Murphy of Youngstown. He and his daughters are graduates of Chaney High School. He has devoted a lot of time to me in sports, including soccer, T-ball, basketball and softball. He even helps with coaching. Sometimes he takes me to my 4-H or Scout meetings.
