The new Hubbard Elementary School, which will open this fall, took 18 months to build. It will replace Roosevelt Elementary School, which will be torn down. The $14.6 million school is the first part of a three-stage, $56 million project that will also include a new middle school and high school.
Classrooms in the new school are on the second floor along with the music and art rooms. Each classroom is about 1,200 square feet. The cafeteria, gym and administration offices are on the ground floor.
The new Hubbard Elementary School will hold pre-kindergarten through fourth grades. Beginning this fall, the elementary, middle and high schools will be located on one campus.
