The Youngstown Fire Dept. provided some relief from the heat for city youngsters today.

The firemen came out to teach the kids not to be afraid of the fire trucks they see on a daily basis. City Youth director Andrea Mahone runs summer activities for the children in the apartment complex, which is the only public housing in the city without a Youth Center. Mahone said the program, called "Increase the Peace," was implemented into the community to "make them respect and love the city of Youngstown."..-30-
