Damascus Elementary School students recently participated in an international program focused on introducing students to computer science, programming and computational thinking known as the “Hour of Code.” The students spend one hour using an Ozobot, a small robot that can be programmed using ink-based codes compiled via a Chromebook or iPad. Caitlin Reash, Damascus principal, led the effort with the help of Pamela Denny, library/technology teacher, and Jacqueline Mumford, professor of graduate education (computers and technology) at Walsh University.
