More than five million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, including nearly 7,200 in Mahoning County. The Mahoning Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be Saturday, at Youngstown State University WATTS, 651 Elm St. Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. with opening ceremonies beginning at 9:30 a.m. There is no cost to register for the two-mile walk. Attendees are encouraged to seek donations from family members, friends, and other contacts. To start a team or get additional information, contact Helen Paes at hpaes@alz.org or call 330-533-3300.
