SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR GFWC, Ohio, Austintown Junior Women’s League hosted its 10th annual Taste of Austintown food competition April 1 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, Austintown. More than 320 guests sampled a variety of foods from 16 vendors, including a build-your-own salad bar and fiesta bean dip table hosted by the Austintown Board of Education. One guest won $650 in the 50-50 raffle. The fundraiser benefits scholarship recipients at Austintown Fitch High School. This year, Barry Dyngle’s Pub won the “People’s Choice for Best Taste.” Halliday’s Winery won “People’s Choice for Best Presentation,” and Russo’s Pizza won “Judge’s Choice for Best of the Best.” Photos and information can be found at www.facebook.com/AJWL2014.
