Local Federated Women’s Clubs recently participated in Legislation Day at Tippecanoe Country Club. Guest speakers for the event included State Representative Michele Lepore-Hagan, Ohio 58th District, and Victoria Rusu-Ebert of Operation Smile. Awards were presented by district chairwomen to clubs based on their community-service programs conducted throughout 2016. The event was hosted by the Youngstown Area Federation of Women’s Clubs for the Northeast District of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Ohio. Participating clubs were the Warren City Federation, Masury Brookfield Women’s Club, Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s Club, Canfield Junior Women’s League, Austintown Junior Women’s League, Louisville Women’s League and the GFWC Ohio Warren Junior Women’s League.
