William D. Lewis The Vindicator On hand for Scrappers home opener 6-21-2017 was Howdy Friend, 91, of Poland who is a WWII veteran who was wounded duringthe Battle of The Bulge. Friend, a retired educator in Poland says he is a Scrappers fan and has attended many games at Eastwood Field over the last 19 years.
