SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR John Phillips and John Dalbec were sworn in as new members of the Mahoning Valley Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution on Feb. 18. Present for the ceremony, from left, were Larry Perkins, chairman of Ohio Eastern District; Jonathan Guerrier, treasurer; Phillips and Dalbec; Phil Bracy, president; and Craig Campbell, registrar. The ceremony took place during the chapter’s President George Washington meeting at the Youngstown Country Club, and Perkins was the speaker. Sons of the American Revolution is a historical, educational and patriotic organization which seeks to maintain national institutions and values. Members of the organization are male descendants of those who served in the Revolutionary War or otherwise directly contributed to the nation’s independence.
