SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Kalea Hall, business reporter for The Vindicator, was the guest speaker at the Jan. 24 meeting of Struthers Rotary. Hall traveled to Cuba with a journalism license in accordance with the U.S. Department of Treasury guidelines. She stayed with a local family, and observed a high cost of living and disconnection of Cuban citizens from the rest of the world. Hall recommended the experience to anyone eligible under the 12 license categories. Her full story can be found at www.vindy.com/news/2016/dec/18/the-cuba-experience. JoAnn Sweeney, rotary president, left, and Tom Baringer, Hall’s host, presented her with a book that will be donated to Struthers School Library.
