SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR: The seventh-grade basketball team of Salem Junior High School wore pink T-shirts at their last home game of the season. The shirts said “Supporting One of Our Own – Jette Beck,” in honor of teammate Darius Beck’s sister who recently had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from her brain.
