SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Nathaniel Pinkard, third ward Youngstown City councilman, was the guest speaker at a recent meeting of Youngstown Rotary Club. Pinkard discussed his initiatives such as working with neighborhood associations to promote North Side amenities and enforce building codes. His goals include improving the appearance of the Belmont corridor, bringing more businesses to the area and developing state Route 422. Pinkard was chief of police for Mill Creek MetroParks for 28 years before serving as a councilman. He is the chairman of the facilities management committee of the board of the Community Corrections Association. Rotary Club of Youngstown is part of Rotary International and meets every Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. in the Manchester Room of the YMCA, 17 N Champion St.
