Ron Moore Jr. was the guest speaker at the final meeting of the year for the 2017 Austintown Rotary Club. He spoke about his struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Moore is an artist whose work was being affected by the condition. After having an operation at the Cleveland Clinic that involved an implant that sends electrical signals to the brain, he improved enough to return to work. Also in attendance at the meeting was Cheryl Lloyd from Easter Seals, who received a $350 check from the club. Above, from left, are Moore and his wife, Lisa, receiving a book to be placed in the Austintown Elementary School library in their honor from Bruce Laraway, Rotary Club president.
