The Struthers School Foundation for Academic Excellence has announced its 2017-18 officers. Above, from left, are Dave Howard, treasurer; Dan Mamula, president; Drew Hirt, vice-president; and Mike Cox, secretary. The foundation has funded more than $40,000, over the past two years, in new student educational opportunities. Examples are an entrepreneurship program for grades 7 to 12; a media arts program for the high school that included the re-opening of the on-site radio broadcasting station; and a robotics program at the high school that includes participation in competitions.
