Jeff Toth, Austintown DARE officer, spoke recently to members of the Rotary Club of Austintown. A veteran of 17 years, Toth will get some help when a new DARE officer joins the force with a specialty in drug and alcohol resistance education. Toth works with kindergarten, first-, third-, fifth- and seventh-graders, stressing the dangers of drugs and alcohol in their lives. He said the Austintown police maintain a drop-off site for expired and unneeded prescriptions at the police station. Above, from left is Rotary President Bruce Laraway presenting a book to Toth that will be donated in his honor to the library at Austintown Elementary School.
