SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Buckeye Horse Park Association will host a party for the Kentucky Derby at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Tippecanoe Country Club, 5870 Tippecanoe Road, Canfield. Besides the race on a big-screen television, there will be southern-style food, auctions, raffles, prizes for best Derby Day hat, and a dice-roll sponsored by Greenwood Chevrolet. Auction items include jewelry, gift baskets, certificates to local restaurants and golf and spa packages. Professional photographs of participants will be available for purchase from Janet Yosay. Admission is $60, and 50-50 tickets are $5 each or five for $20. Buckeye Horse Park is a nonprofit organization that maintains facilities and educational programs for equine enthusiasts. Proceeds from the event will go to the construction of an indoor facility to enable year-round activities. For information or tickets, call Sally Kish at 330-549-2897.
