SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Canfield speech team competes in Rotary contest Four members of the Canfield High School speech and debate team recently competed in the Canfield Rotary’s annual 4-Way Speech Competition at a luncheon meeting. Students chose any topic that could be evaluated with the Rotary’s 4-Way Test questions: “is it truth,” “is it fair,” “will it build goodwill,” and “will it be beneficial for all those concerned.” Ally Cooper and Dominic DeRamo tied for third place, and each received $50; Taryn Rothbauer won $100 for second place; and Carson Markley won $200 for first place. Carson, the winner of Canfield Rotary’s contest last year, also participated in the district speech competition in Canton on April 1. He placed second out of 18.
