SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Mary Chesney Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution recently hosted an award luncheon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Warren to present first- and second-place Good Citizen awards to two high-school students. Emily Moyers of Lordstown, left, won first place and is the daughter of Mindy and Jim Moyers. Jennie Wensel, a senior at Hubbard, right, received second. She is the daughter of Lori Roy and Robert Wensel. Bonnie Hood, Good Citizens chairman, center, presented the certificates and monetary awards. Moyers and Wensel were nominated by their schools for dependability, leadership, service and patriotism. Other students recognized as good citizens by their schools and the DAR include Brent Cutlip, Badger; Hailee Elza, Bristol; Kaylin Shackelford, Chalker; Elizabeth Anastasiadis, Harding; Faith Rush, LaBrae; and Juliet McCowin, Victory Christian.
