SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Former members of the Salem High School Girls Social Clubs recently met at the Dale Shaffer Research Library for a roundtable event hosted by the Salem Historical Society. The event’s purpose was to share stories and contribute to the museum’s “oral history archives.” Some of the clubs represented include Sub Debs, McMLIVs, Doce Gatos, Petiteens, HyTimers and Maids of Salem. Members took scrapbooks, pictures, bracelets, necklaces, pins, sweater logos and historical club papers. The society will host another roundtable event from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 16 in the meeting room of the library, 239 S. Lundy Ave, Salem. All former members of Salem girls social clubs are encouraged to attend and take stories, pictures and artifacts. Information will be recorded and added to the museum archives.
