SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Newcomers of Mahoning Valley presented flowers to newly elected officers during a recent installation luncheon. The newly elected officers include Regina Jenkins, left, secretary; Carol Gregg, treasurer; Jorine Stone, vice president; and Amy Pendleton, president. Newcomers was formed 25 years ago to offer new residents of the valley a way to meet people and become familiar with various events and places in the community. The organization will begin its 2016-2017 year with a meet-and-greet luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 28 at Boardman Park. Members will be served Panera Bread boxed lunches and will learn more about the organization’s Needlework Group, Roundtowners Group, Birthday Group and Movie or Book Clubs. For information or a reservation, call Pendleton at 330-953-3349 or Stone at 330-757-7212.
