SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Kiwanis Club of Youngstown is announcing Carla Hunter, right, as the new president of the club for the 2016-17 year. She was installed by former Kiwanis Lt. Gov. Chris McCarty, left, during ceremonies that took place Oct. 7. Hunter is a native of Poland and a Youngstown State University graduate. She is a member of the board of directors of Junior Achievement of the Mahoning Valley and the Youngstown Air Reserve Base Community Council. Kiwanis Club is dedicated to serving children of the world. The club meets at noon Fridays at the Downtown YMCA, 17 N. Champion St. Guests are welcome.
