The Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs Ohio Austintown Juniorettes recently announced the new board of officers for the 2016-2017 year. The new officers are, from left, Camryn Constance, treasurer; Erica DiFrancesco, second vice president; Jordan Evans, first vice president; Nichole Noday, secretary; and Rachael DiFrancesco, president. The Juniorettes volunteer on projects including donating hygiene products to the PTA council and serving at the upcoming Austintown Middle School craft show. Leaders of the club are Kerri Sahli and Kelly Constance. Girls between the ages of 12 and 18 are welcome to join. Information on the GFWC Austintown Juniorettes can be found on Facebook.

Maria Perez, winner of Today’s International Woman Pageant, donated school supplies to Miss Gonzalez’s kindergarten class at Campbell City School on Sept. 22. Perez represented the state of Ohio during the pageant, which was hosted on a cruise ship in the Bahamas. She was crowned Queen of Queens and is the first woman from Puerto Rico to win the event. She is now participating in community service. Her son, Jadriel, also was crowned King of Kids in the pageant. Struthers Rotary will host its 61st annual Pancake Festival from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 6 at Struthers High School, 111 Euclid Ave. Boy Scout Troop 101, Struthers High School Interact Club, Struthers girls basketball team and Rotary Community Corp. will assist rotary members. Struthers Firefighters and its Historical Society will have information tables and flu shots will be available. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Proceeds will benefit the rotary scholarship fund.
