SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Kiwanis Club of Youngstown donated $750 to the Salvation Army of Mahoning County on Oct. 28. The funds will support Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas gift programs. Carla Hunter, Kiwanis president, right, presented the check to Jorge Munoz, Salvation Army lieutenant and fellow Kiwanis member. The army provides financial, social and spiritual services for at-risk community members, and expects to feed more than 400 people at its Thanksgiving dinner. Kiwanis Club serves children around the world. The club supports many local organizations including Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, Making Kids Count, CityScape, Neighborhood Ministries, Butler Institute of American Art, Salvation Army bell ringing, Meals on Wheels and more.
