SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Chaney High School Class of 1966 celebrated the 50th reunion Oct. 14 through 16. A mixer took place at the Eagles in Austintown on Oct. 14, and a banquet followed on Oct. 15 at Antone’s Banquet Centre in Boardman. A brunch at Davidson’s Restaurant in Cornersburg on Oct. 16 brought the weekend to a close. More than 160 classmates, spouses and friends attended the banquet, and 45 graduates were honored for their military service. The class published a directory and paperback book titled “The Way We Were, 1953-1966: Memories of the Chaney High School Class of ’66.” The book was edited by Sue Meikle Skidmore and several other classmates, and it is available for purchase online at www.amazon.com.
