SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9571 of Ellsworth became an All-State Post on June 11 at the VFW Department of Ohio Convention that took place in Independence, Ohio. This is its first All-State distinction since its inception in 1947. Post Commander Jim Tornincasa Jr. and Post Quartermaster Ray Schafer each received a white VFW hat to signify the honor. To receive the distinction, the post had to complete several requirements between July 1, 2015, and April 30. At left are Tornincasa; John Craig, adjutant; and Schafer.
