SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Stephanie Fabian, an Austintown Schools registrar, was inducted into the Austintown Rotary Club on June 6. A native of Campbell, Fabian is a Youngstown State University alumni and works in the Austintown Early Learning Center. Club president Mal Culp, left, sponsored her membership and Rotarian Chuck Baker, right, completed the induction ceremony. Rick Rowlands of the Youngstown Steel Heritage Foundation was speaker at the meeting. Rowlands discussed working with Youngstown Sheet and Tube to save the 260-ton Tod Stationary Engine from destruction, as well as the 1995 construction of a building at 2261 Hubbard Road, Youngstown, to house the engine along with locomotives, hot metal cars and other steel manufacturing machinery. Rowlands also invited the public to the museum’s open house from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 17.
