SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Three Austintown Fitch High School seniors were chosen to receive the William Courtney Austintown Rotary Scholarship for 2016. The scholarships were presented by Fitch Interact advisers Tina Kubacki and Gary Reel at the July 11 meeting. From left are Reel; Max Bleggi, Bradley Linton and Matt Rozic, scholarship recipients; and Ed Kalaher, rotary president. Bleggi will attend Ohio State University, Linton will attend Youngstown State and Rozic will attend Duquesne. The William Courtney Scholarship was named for a long-term Rotarian who generously donated to the Polio Plus and Rotary Foundation on behalf of the Austintown club.

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Volunteers are organizing the second annual Dr. Susan K. Leone Memorial Golf Scramble as a fundraiser for the Scleroderma Foundation. It is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Aug. 13 at Mill Creek Golf Course, 1 West Golf Drive, Boardman. First hole-in-one prizes will be a two-year lease on a Chevrolet Cruze from Sweeney Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and a $10,000 shopping spree from Adamas Jewelers. There will be a 50-50 raffle, a basket auction and other prizes. Entry is $65 and includes golf fees, carts, coffee, doughnuts, lunch and a T-shirt. Dinner only will cost $15. SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Sue Sivak, left, board president of Camp Frederick in Rogers, Ohio, presented a grant check from the Youngstown Foundation to Justin Landry, executive director of Camp Frederick, and Jane Peachey, director of Good Grief Camp. The grant was given to assist in funding Good Grief Camp which is hosted by the camp.
