SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Seventh and eighth grade students in Brad Harnett’s social studies class wrote letters to U.S. soldiers of First Platoon, Delta Company, First Battalion, 46th Infantry Regiment at Fort Benning, Ga. The soldiers will not be home for the holidays because the company is participating in basic combat training for 10 weeks which will be followed immediately by advanced individual training. Students did not know which soldiers would receive their letters, but Harnett hopes some students will develop a pen-pal relationship with the soldiers.
