Residents, faculty and staff at Family Practice Center of ValleyCare Northside Medical Center are participating in a fundraising project to provide holiday gifts and fulfill Christmas wishes of many Valley children. They are partnering with E.J. Blott Elementary School teachers and staff who identify the children for the project. Besides gifts for children, each family receives a gift card or voucher for food from Giant Eagle or Walmart. Gretchen Reed, a teacher at E.J. Blott, realized 30 years ago that many children needed clothing, coats, shoes and gifts. She went to her church family and began the outreach. It has grown to include several groups. In front from left, are Sharon Wathen, chairman of Blott Kids holiday project, and Sheri Griffith, receptionist and organizer of the project at the Family Practice Center. In back are Dr. Roman Davidenko, Dr. Szymon Krzyzanowski, Dr. Steven Swain and Dr. Paul Rich, ValleyCare Medical Group of Ohio Family medicine physicians and lead physicians of the Blott Kids Holiday Project at Northside.
