SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Austintown Junior Women’s League of the Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs of Ohio recently hosted an event on behalf of the charity Locks of Love at the Change About Salon in Austintown. Participants who donated at least 10 inches of hair were treated to a free hairstyle. The donated hair was then sent to Locks of Love, which uses the hair to make wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment. The event featured a basket raffle, a bake sale, 50-50 raffle and music provided by DJ Mark Cole. The event raised $1,600 and will sponsor a child in need.
