SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR On Aug. 2, the Struthers Rotary hosted Struthers school board member Bob Noble to discuss Fostering Dreams, an organization he founded with his wife, Mary Alice. The Nobles have hosted 69 foster children in Mahoning County. Their non-profit organization provides special events for children sponsored by foster parents, including a tea party for foster girls where they are provided gowns, shoes, hairdressing, a photo shoot and limousine transportation to a banquet. The participating girls keep the donated items after the event ends. Other Fostering Dreams activities include Youngstown State University football games and tailgate parties, and hero parties where the children meet police officers, firefighters and social workers. The organization recently purchased the former Our Lady of Hungary Church property, and will use the building for computer education, life skills, fine arts and other training. Struthers Rotary president JoAnne Cabuno Sweeney, left, welcomed Noble to the meeting with his host, Rotarian Linda Krestel.
